In 2025, PACJI participated in a major media workshop held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The event brought together more than 70 journalists, editors, researchers, communication professionals, and media scholars from different African countries.
Participants came from Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi, Somalia, South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, and other parts of Africa.
The workshop provided a continental platform for exchanging knowledge, professional experiences, and good practices in constructive journalism. Discussions focused on journalism’s contribution to peace building, regional cooperation, public accountability, responsible communication, and sustainable development.
The event strengthened professional networks among African media practitioners and established a foundation for future cross-border training, research, professional exchanges, and collaborative reporting.
